So much of my creative expression is an emotional processing and understanding of the self in relation to the world I live in. My work interweaves
art, literature, sociology and history – these intersections have provided me the space and time to cultivate a sensitivity to others, to ask questions, and to develop a compassion and resilience towards failure and change.

I love words. And I love feelings. Sometimes words fail us, but we have art.

I did a little drawing of my friends and their beautiful, growing family.

I have been thinking about love.

Not in the grand gestures but in the everyday experience of love in its noun, verb and adjective forms. Love is universal but unique in our perceptions of what it means in our lives.

Maybe it is in the affectionate smiles and tender touches. Or the hearing of a familiar voice. For some it's the quiet intimacy of shoulder-to-shoulder time. And others, simply showing up with patience.

For me, for now, it's experiencing the feeling of safety and joy in sharing space.
